Journaling

It would be an understatement if I said I didn't like journaling. I have been journaling since I could pick up a pen and write a word. I still have remains of my early journals which dates back to June 10, 1999. I can't believe I have been scribbling my thoughts for over 10 years.

Of course I have always used color, and "LOVED " a lot of boys.
I even made Jesus a chocolate cake for Christmas, with markers.

It is so incredible to see the things that happen in 10 years. New friendships, lots of tears, heartbreak, getting in trouble, meeting Jon Forman from Switchfoot, coming to know Jesus, walking with Jesus, seeing others give their life to Jesus, going to Young Life camp, powering sermons, prayers, prayers being answered, prayers that will be answered.

I strongly encourage everyone to journal. Its for yourself, no one else (unless your friend takes it and goes through the pages). All you need it paper and a pen. And your thoughts, which we all have plenty of.

Now go journal and have an amazing Friday!

Clouds

One year ago I started walking through My Utmost For His Highest which has made evident to me so many of my flaws. It has helped me to see that God is more worthy than I will ever be. That He deserves the glory, not I, and that one day Jesus will return.

The entry for today talks about clouds. And outside today it is clearly cloudy.

DO YOU SEE JESUS IN YOUR CLOUDS?
"Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen." -Revelation 1:7

In the Bible, clouds are always associated with God. Clouds are the sorrows, sufferings, or providential circumstances, within or without our personal lives, which actually seem to contradict the sovereignty of God. Yet it is through these very clouds that the Spirit of God is teaching us how to walk by faith. What a revelation it is to know that sorrow, bereavement, and suffering are actually the clouds that come along with God!

Yesterday around 5pm. Later the sky was even more beautiful. Today is just the same.

Another crappy post..

I finally have my camera charged! But I still have yet to take any pictures! I hope that can all change tonight. As for my picture, I love what I was able to take with my phone. And even better I forget that when you buy a pair of TOMS you give one to a child in need, thats the best part. Shoes are so easy to get a hold of here in the states, but in so many other parts of the world its impossible and only through something like TOMS can a child have a pair. Thank you TOMS!

Again

Once again I don't have any cool/blow-your-mind pictures to show you. Honestly, the past couple of days I haven't even thought about blogging, I don't know why still. Maybe because I haven't baked cookies in awhile so there are no pictures there or the battery for my camera is dead. Whatever the reason, I will make it up to you this week someway, somehow!

Just bare with me!

Lucky Dog Leather

It's been over a month since I last posted. Ew...

I am genuinely sorry, lesbos, but I've had a million and 1 other things to do, but my slate is pretty much wiped for now so expect more postage.

Anyway, moving on...

You might have heard of Lucky Dog Leather.

Cult lesbian heroes Jill Bennett & Cathy DeBuono are constantly photographed wearing their products and word is that lesbian director supremo, Angela Robinson, is also a fan.

Well, I thought this would be the perfect time to use my blog as an advertisement, as their products are both hot and define lesbian fashion.

Some of my favourite accessories include this Italian red leather cuff, as modelled by the gorgeous Jill Bennett, and below, the LDL baseball tee.

Best thing is, all of the accessories are custom made, so you know each one has been made with love and affection, especially for you.

And ladies, if I saw a chick wearing some of the belts and cuffs from Lucky Dog?

DAYUM.

Purple Zebra

Well once upon a time I forgot to take pictures, then I forgot to blog (odd). Also once upon a time I wrote out my blog, but then I forgot to save it (just happened). So today my picture comes from the farming zoo my brother and I went to while I was in New York. My camera just ran out of batteries so I used my phone. Then I took 20 more pictures on my phone of farm animals. There is no editing here which makes it my favorite picture from the trip!

That's all I got! Oh wait, I get to watch Jill get married today! Yayayayay!

Mount Wittenberg Orca

Well..., this is not just a beautiful picture of mountain, it is a cover album by Dirty Projectors latest EP title Mount Wittenberg Orca. It is their very 1st colaboration with Björk. All proceeds from the digital sales (website http://www.mountwittenbergorca.com/) will go to the National Geographic Society for the project of creating international marine protected areas. Mount Wittenberg is located at Point Reyes National Seashore. The inspiration for the EP came when Amber Coffman of Dirty Projectors saw a pod of whales off the coast while hiking at that spot. When I st heard this album, it is lil' bit weird like a red-Indian Girl talking bla bla but really entertain me. Mix with countries, blues and jazz...but it is not a loud-music album. It just so nice and smooth felt like you're breathing a very fresh air and sleeping on the top of the Mount Wittenberg Orca! I'M LUVIN' THIS!

Turning 22!

Turning 22!

Tiiired.

From journal:
Yesterday I grew tired when I was in the Word. That reflects so clearly to me my walk sometimes. I grow tired of God, I fall asleep on Him, I don't meditate on His work and teaching. I'm saying to Jesus "Let me get back to you in 20/40 minutes." I don't want to walk in that attitude. I want to be in tune with the Lord constantly. Not just praying once/twice a day, but through everything. My day should look like this:
Wake up= prayer
Breakfast = prayer
On my way to work = prayer
Walking to work = prayer
At work = prayer
Walking back to my car = prayer
On my way home = prayer
At home = prayer
With friends = prayer
Lying in bed = prayer

Next day, again.
Next day, again.

I pray for you brothers and sisters that we wouldn't grow tired of Him. That we would have energy to spend time with Him, to soak up who He is, drawing ourselves closer. We are weak: in need of our Savior daily.

Crafting

I am starting to realize more that God has created me, Danielle, to be an artist.

To paint on canvases and see how colors mix together. What puts me in awe is that when I get to heaven there will be 123,324,675 more colors I have never seen before. (not actual number, I just typed that in)

To craft things into beauty.

What a camera is capable of capturing. God gave us cameras! He gave us paints, colors, canvases, flowerpots, clay, wood, yarn, glass and all things! And in my life, He created me to use these things.

I never want to abandon what He has gifted me with. I never want to stop creating. In my life His name is exalted, He deserves the glory and in His grace He has allowed me to be a part of that.

I am forever grateful.

"We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully."
-Romans 12:6-8

Jill's Bachelorette Party!

Last night I participated in my first full out Bachelorette Party and I love them already. If any future brides need help having one, give me a shout! We started off at Jill's house were presents were opened and games had us laughing hysterically. I won't show some of the pictures because their too inappropriate. Afterwards we went to Dick's Last Resort in Dallas where they made Jill a couple of special balloons and all our hats had stripper names (not photographed). All in all it was a successful night!

Next week I get to watch this beautiful girl walk down the aisle!!!!

Expect way more of these pictures in the future!
Have an awesome Saturday!

Love y'all!
